Help GPS Question

I never used the GPS that much on my X because of the battery but I notices while connecting to GPS on the Maxx that there are three types of GPS services. Which should I use for most accurate? Does highlighting all three matter?

Are you talking the difference between standalone, Verizon, and Google location services? If so, Google and Verizon location services are not GPS based services, they simply triangulate your position based on your cell signal and give a rough estimate of the area you are in to programs like your browser.

I would turn on Google and GPS. On the DX this used to be called Assisted GPS. Basically using the cell/wifi triangulation, helps faster GPS acquisition and error reduction.

(imagine that when you drive past a cell tower, it is a known database entity - and therefore your lat/long will be X, and GPS says its X+, so it can correct and lock quickly)

That's how I would use it. You could leave off the verizion mode.

Leave Standalone GPS toggled off unless needed (when you are using Google Maps or Navigator) and always leave Google Location Services turned on.

Leave Verizon Location Services, off.

Having the GPS enabled shouldn't use too much battery. It only uses the GPS why it needs a location fix. So unless something is wrong and an app is calling the GPS constantly it shouldn't cause any harm. So generally the GPS will be on only for a few seconds, at most a couple times an hour.
