Root GPS staying on after browser

Lately I have noticed whenever I use the browser and my phone needs to find it's location, GPS comes on and stays on even after I exit the browser. I can re-open the browser and it shuts off. This only happens once in awhile when the phone gets it's location. Not the end of the world, but annoying.

Anyone else having a similar issue. I am using DroidMod 1.0...not sure if it's due to the ROM or the Milestone browser.

Yep, I had this issue all the time, and it would be the highest battery usage I had (higher than Display!) for the longest time until I realized I would have to make my homepage something other than Google and close out Google-based windows when I was done with the browser. Cause Google is really one of the few sites out there that requests GPS information.
