GPs Won't go off

Running 2.1. GPS won't turn off. I've tried to reboot but no luck. I like using Location for day to day stuff and don't turn on GPS unless necessary.

Any ideas?

Did/Do you have any apps installed that could also control turning GPS on and off?

Google Maps and navigation. But don't those apps turn GPS on and off and necessary? When I try to select Locale only with 911 support only the GPs turns off. When I select "location on" it turns GPS back on.

That's how it should be. Locale with 911 just means that if you were in an emergency, they could triangulate your location according to your cell signal and surrounding cell towers. When you turn the "Location On", it uses the GPS to get a more precise location.

When running 1.5 GPS wasn't on but locale was. Strange.
