I have a VZW GS3 running 4.1.3. Rooted (as of yesterday) but not ROMd.
The problem predates rooting. I want to figure it out before I put a lot of time into setting up a new ROM.
For weeks (months, maybe) I have been unable to lock onto GPS. I expect this is a common problem but searching here didn't come up with anything; I expect GPS is too short a search string.
Suggestions? I've installed GPS Status and GPS Test and have "reset GPS" and "get xtra data" dozens of times with no improvement. I've restarted the phone numerous times, uninstalled maps updates and reinstalled, and turned Google's location services off and back on.
26 satellites are visible but the most it will ever lock onto is 3 and even that is rare.
