Hi all,

I just downloaded a golf app that uses the GPS to track the holes. I would like to know the procedure of temporarily turning it off in between shots. On the iPhone all you do is press the top button. Is there something like that on this phone? The GPS uses up the battery pretty quickly, so turning it off would help. I'm just looking for a quick way to toggle the GPS. The app I'm using is Golf Logix.

Thanks

Welcome! Yes there is. You can put the power widget on your screen. It has the on/off switch for gps in it, as well as other things like wifi. :)

The problem with using the toggle switch to turn the GPS off on your Android will loose position on your Golf tracker app, you can get it back, but it is not instant, takes a few secs, I personal use mine on my Android all the time, and never turn it off, by the time I am done with my round, my battery has not gone down that much, hope this help

Which phone do you have, also you can download THIS from the play store and put it on your home screen

OK, go to the play store, and type in GPS toggle, and then download the one from CurveFish, once downloaded, simply put the toggle switch on your home screen

Now if you want to use the one that comes with your phone, then I would post in your device forum and i am sure someone will square you away there, Motorola Milestone X2

Or if you want me to move this thread there, let me know and you can follow it there and someone will help you there

I have the Motorola Milestone X2

OK, and let me know if you want your thread moved, to your device section

There are also a lot of other golf GPS apps out that are free and don't suck up the battery like Golf Logix

Thanks will down load it. The last round I played it ate up most of the battery.
