The 'GPS' on your device is a radio receiver which picks up signals from the Global Positioning Satellites, and computes your position/location which can then be displayed using one or more of a variety of mapping and/or location apps including Google Maps.
It would help if you could be more specific about what you mean by 'conflict with google maps and gps'.
