Root Graphical error? Help!

So I've recently rooted my nexus 5 and saw that there was a graphical error. I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried to factory reset my phone, installed the stock kernel (from elementalx) to see if it would fix it but it didn't.

Does anyone know how to fix this? If I install cyanogenmod, would it fix it?
 
You'll need to describe the error in detail. If you have a screen shot, that would be helpful too.
 
There is a screens hot in the post. The graphical error is that when I go to change music in the tab thing on the top of the screen (wipe down for the notification thing), the music is pixel white with 3 x on it and you can barely see behind the options for the music

II also noticed that the three things on the top (time, discard, advance settings) are all framed and I don't think they were like that before..
