Gray wifi signal

I have searched all over online and you guys seem to know the best. I have the OG droid Razr and when I'm at work I have the gray wifi signal which I know means I'm not connected to google services. My wifi works great at home (blue bars), what I haven't found anywhere online is there any way to manually connect to google services when I'm on my work wifi? I have read many threads about this where people keep saying its the signal or its the modem, ect. and there is no solutions. I feel like there is probably just a setting you can change that would allow google services to work on all wifi's... If anyone has any ideas that would be helpful. Also I am rooted and have SQLite Editor.
Thanks guys!

Yeah go outside your job in the parking lot see if the google comes on if so return back inside if it shuts off yea as the user said your job has cellphone jammer.

Yeah it comes back on because then I'm out of wifi range and my cell signal kicks in. I'm connected to the wifi at work to save battery and I know its connected because I can browse and and use apps but its not pushing thru notifications. All I get is texts and phone calls. It won't give facebook notifications or gmail notifications other apps like that

Oh ok you didn't say that you need the boxes checked in the gmail account section . Goto the account sync location>gmail account should have both boxes checked for sync to your device

If your work wifi is the only place this happens then the issue is with your work's wifi.

Test your wifi/google account connection at home, a friend's house, etc. If it works there without issue, your work is blocking it. Sounds like they are blocking facebook, etc also.
