Great Build Quality

I definitely prefer a metal unibody design over polycarbonate plastic, but only because I find it more ascetically appealing. But, that's not to say that the build quality of the Galaxy line is anything short of exceptional. Some people act as though because its made of plastic instead of aluminum that it has poor durability, but that's certainly not the case.

Multiple drops and being ran over by an SUV and the phone is practically flawless! That's some great craftsmanship from Samsung. It may not look the best, but it doesn't lack high build-quality.

I think they should make a metal sealed back and let the metal back help control the antenna signal .

Yeah the phone is also completely water proof which is crazy as well.

I think it just goes to show that it really is all about luck and how they hit the floor.

Galaxy S4 did horribly in drop tests after release yet does surprising well in this test until it gets full corner impact from above head height which would damage any screen. ;)

I honestly don't get all the hoopla over metal. I had an ipod with a metal back. That thing got more scratched up and looked like it had been through the ringer moreso than any plastic device I ever owned - and the thing rarely even left my car. It would pretty much go from car to computer and that's it...but it was scratched like it'd been left in a chicken coop for years. My Galaxy Nexus is plastic and still looks pristine. Give me plastic any day.

Great point. I also have an ipod touch with a metal back. It looks like someone grinded sand paper across the back for a few days straight. Aluminum looks great but it isn't really practical for a mobile device. I find it funny that Samsung was the hero who was taking Apple off the throne a couple years ago. Now that they have the best selling smartphone their in the cross-hairs of trolls and fanboys.

Samsung has a winning formula so why change it up? The S5 has premium grade specs and it is easily one of the best phones on the market.

Seconded! I've seen the same people who applaud uniform metal bodies complain about the lack of grip. Can't really pay attention to the fanboy and neckbeard noise or else youll always be waiting for next years potential "game-changer"
