Help Green Android with red triangle and exclamation point

MISS DIVA

Android Enthusiast
Hello Guys
I really need some help. My friend owns a Note 2 like me, which got stuck on the Samsung logo and her partner did a hard reset.

The screen now shows the Green Android lying down with a red triangle that has an exclamation point. There is also the added bonus of a menu with red and blue characters with numerous error messages.

Can you show some Android Forum love and help me solve this issue.

Thank you
Regards Julie

That sounds like recovery mode (stock rather than custom). Do you know what your friend did to get the phone into this state?

You may need to reflash the phone. I'm not a Samsung expert, so will move this to the Note 2 forum - the people there will be able to give the best advice.

Hi Hadron,
Thanks for your assistance. He did the pressing of the volume up, home and power buttons. Hopefully the guys in the Note 2 forums will solve the problem. Fingers crossed.

I have a Samsung Galaxy 4 and sometimes while I change the battery ((bcuz I don't use a USB cable -instead I have an 2 external wall battery chargers and 3 extra batteries )) anyway ,when I open the back to change my battery as I'm pushing in the full battery sometimes my fone goes into that mode also. I didn't no what to do. It had the same thing just about. That android In red..green. little print -exclamation points..it scared me at first-aid when it happens I just pull the battery back out wait a few seconds and put it back...that is THE REBOOT MODE ..

Sounds like recovery mode. Either that or in some cases, shows a firmware update in progress. In a worse case scenario, it shows a serious glitch with either the software or the hardware.

Android laying down with red triangle error generally comes when you are trying to boot up your phone as normal or when you try to enter Android recovery mode.

To fix the error:

You have to press few buttons to get the menu option in recovery mode.
  • First, hold down Power + Volume up and Down all together
  • Now continue this process again at the same time
  • You can see a menu but sometimes it disappear off screen. Continue pressing the buttons until you get a menu option
In this process, you have to be very careful in pressing the right buttons to get the menu (Recovery Menu) will occur

  • Now from Recovery menu, you can operate several things like Wipe data, wipe cache, reboot and others.
  • You can get this option automatically when your phone boots up, so simply move ahead and reboot. After this, if the same problem occurs then follow the above steps and when menu occurs then select wipe cache partition and reboot your phone. When this process fails then do factory reset of your device to boot up normal.
