Help green cross on top bar

Hi I recently bought a SGS 2 for my wife after I got the same for me as an upgrade.

Now my wife keeps getting a green cross on the top bar which appears to be a link to websites which offer silly things like free ipads etc.

I do not get this or have not at all since I got mine 2 weeks before hers.
I suspect some type of spam but how and why her?

Hi there, I think this is a thing called airpush, that basically directs you to crap sites. I had this before and installed addons detector from play store. It tells you which app is responsible for this, then i simply uninstalled the offending app. Hope this helps.

cheers found the offending app it was a live wallpaper my wife had installed....
