greetings from a future android owner

[Terreos]

Hello everyone.

I'm currently in the market to get a new smartphone by the end of December. A little present to myself you can say. Currently rocking a BlackBerry Bold 9930. Personally, I really enjoy using this device. Keyboard is exceptional, very little lag, I get my emails instantaneously, and I get a good two days of use on one charge most of the time. But, I'm looking for something that offers a bit more when it comes to media.

Before this device I was using an Iphone 4. Its media performance was very good. It also had a great camera. But, everything else about the phone was a flop however. I could stay here all week until your eyes bleed with all the reasons I didn't like it. So I won't torture you with all the details. Instead all I'll say is the OS was far to restrictive for my liking.

I'm currently on Sprint. Right now I'm looking at the epic 4g touch and evo 3D. Hopefully, after a while on this forum I'll have a better idea which one is better for me. A small list of what I want in a phone is smooth OS operation, email, works well as an mp3 player, good video playback, takes good pictures.

Anyway I'm glad to be here and hope to learn a lot while I'm here.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums!

I think you'll be happy with either one, although the Epic will give you overall better performance. Still, some people prefer Sense (HTC) over TouchWiz (Samsung).

I'm familiar with with Motorola's motoblur or whatve its called now. So I don't know which between touchwiz or sense since I've never used either one. Touchwiz seems to be really refined and like you said is the smoothest android phone on sprint. But, I can't help but look back a forth between the two.
