Help Grey battery icon

Hi all.

Noob here with first question.

Today i noticed for the first time my battery icon was grey with an exclamation point over it. I have only had the phone for about 4 days. Anyone know what this means??? I did a search and didnt find any answers. I have the myTouch 4G.

Doesn't sound good. I'd bring it to TMo for them to look at.

Battery to phone data connection is not working. I'd try cleaning contacts first and, if that doesn't work, try a new battery, then a new phone.
