Help Grey Dot Problem

In the upper left-hand corner of the screen, there is a small grey dot. I didn't notice it until I got Netflix on my phone, and now it appears while I'm watching Netflix, YouTube videos, or on my lock screen. I have provided two images for you to see. I have two more. If anyone has any helpful information, thanks.

I don't know why it shows the images twice.

Welcome to our AndroidForums, Brian :).

I'm guessing that might be a light (or other) sensor...not sure, though (my N7 doesn't have it in the screen area).

(p.s., I fixed the double attachments for you :))

Hmm, this post (from the other AF thread I linked above) says:

Do you have Pulse app installed? This looks like the icon for the app. When I have the app open and watch an in app YouTube video and go to full screen the icon you are seeing shows up in the exact location faint and all on my phone. It goes away when I exit back to the Pulse app. I dont see it any other time.

So, I wonder if it's some kind of video playing notification? (I don't get it when I play a YouTube video, though).

Nope. This seems to be a problem with watching videos. Netflix is how it started.
It's not really a problem is it? That just shows up when you're watching a video and the fullscreen mode hides your clock and status bar icons so theyre not distracting.

Does it only appear in videos or is it always there? If it's always there (even during bootup) it could be a dead pixel.

Assuming you turn your phone to the left when entering landscape, that would be the top right corner of the screen in portrait?
