group messaging

I came from iphone before i bought the s3 (great decision btw!) however im having issues with group messaging. the messages are going out/in individually instead of in one thread. anyone have a problem with this and was able to fix it? thanks

nop no problem here.

when ur in the messaging app u will see an icon that looks like a person

located on the right top corner of this image.

you can then start a group txt with the people u selected.

If i understand your question to my knowledge there is no way to do group messages like the iphone with the native app. But you can download a third party app like GOsms or handcent

I also came from iPhone missing this feature. There are a couple of alternatives. Infernalblaze listed two, but I don't like those as it uses MMS for ingoing and outgoing and it just lags the phone up like crazy. You can either get your friends to install a 3rd party app to group with like whatsapp or groupme. The nice thing about groupme is your friends do not have to have the app installed. Just you need to make an account, and then put in their numbers. Then you will all just text to a newly created number and it will show up as a group text with your names attached to the text. Less hassle and lets your iphone friends use the native messaging app as well as you. You just need group me to setup the group. or phone.com will do this too. Only downside is no MMS but you can use GOSMS to do that.

You could try Yak. Supports group with voice clips/images etc, cross compatible with android/ios

Not to insult you, but you turned on the option for group messages in the messages settings, correct?

You can send message to a group of receipants and to not more than 10 in a message.
