Help Group text/sms problems

Using the x10 and the meContacts app.
I find that when sending group texts, with sms that are more than a page long, only a few contacts in the group (something like the first four) actually receive the sms. However it does work if the sms is only 1 page.

Anyone else experienced this problem, and know of a solution? Thanks.

Are you using the stock app to send the messages or an app Handcent/Chomp??

the standard messaging app - i have always meant to convert to handcent, do u think that would help.

Its a freebie, its pretty cool... give it a go! Nothing to lose.

I'm wondering if it blows its memory somehow when you have multiple long messages. I quite frequently send pretty long messages to a group of four friends and have never had a problem. The stock app has very limited settings where as Handcent has loads, some specifically realating to group sms and also to sms length.
