Group Texts from iPhones!!

I just switched from an iPhone 5 to the S6 and I cannot receive any group texts. I have one particular group that I text all the time. They all have iPhones. I can send texts to the group and they all receive them, but I never get any texts from the group. I receive texts from people individually, but not in the group.
How can I fix this?? I checked with apple and my number is no longer set up for imessages. Help, please!!!!!

Thank you so much for replying!! I wish this would fix it... They had already deregistered my number from iphone in the store and then I had double checked it on apple's website....

Try a different messaging app. Google Messenger, Hangouts (my current) and Textra have all worked well for me with my iPhone toting family.

Thank you! Do the other people have to download the app as well? Or would it go straight to their messages?

No, they don't have to download anything. Those are just clients to use instead of the stock/default messaging client. Pick one and set it as your SMS client (should give you the option when you open it). Go into settings and click enable group messaging if it isn't selected by default.

Just wondering if the op has de-registered from iMessage on their iphone (go to settings> messages), otherwise the messages will be going to his apple devices, icloud etc).
