Root Gsm?/cdma?

Hey guys, just got my razr maxx through verizon and I guess I've been out of the loop for awhile as far as android goes because I don't remember seeing so many rom options on my old htc or lg phones.

Should I be looking at CDMA roms or GSM? Verizon's site lists both under the phone specs.

Thank you. I also just rooted/installed safestrap via droid utility 1.82 and this is a stupid question but I can't find the answer anywhere....how do I enter the safestrap to load a new rom? Shouldn't there be an option on the boot animation? I only see the stock animation.

Nevermind, I'm an idiot. Just realized safestrap installs as an app. thanks again
 
Yeah, that was the guide I used and I finally got it all figured out and installed bionx.
I just missed the step that explained how safestrap installs as an app.

Are there any roms that stand out as community favorites? The rom list doesn't really seem to show much organization and in reading the descriptions on many of these roms it seems that many have issues with major components like sd card reading or camera use. http://androidforums.com/razr-razr-...-razr-rom-theme-list-updated-9-12-2012-a.html
 
Droidrazr.com has most of the ROMs. Arctic HD is probably the favorite I would say. I've been running it for weeks no problems. Most of the issues are with cm9p/aokp/Kexec roms
