Hello everyone,
I was trying to figure this out and i kept coming across conflicting information.
What im wondering is I have a CDMA Samsung Galaxy Note 5 on US Cellular (SM-N920R4)
I know (generally) CDMA phones cant take a GSM SIM Card. What I Do know is that some CDMA phones use a SIM card for 4G LTE, mine does.
I am planning on moving to Canada soon, and was researching new phones to buy. Then i decided to see if i could keep my current phone. I was looking at switching to Koodoo Wireless in Canada a GSM network carrier.
I am wondering if my CDMA Note 5 (that uses a 4G LTE SIM) would be able to take a GSM Sim on a Canadian carrier and function.
The reason im asking here is that i have read all over that CDMA phones that have a sim card can use GSM and I have also read that they dont work at all.
Anyone who knows more about GSM compatible CDMA phones can you please clear this up for me?
