Guerilla Glass??

Does the tab 10.1 have guerilla glass? Does it need a screen protector? I have the original tab and had a screen protector since day 1 but cost me $25 for the protectors.

I'm quite sure that it uses Corning's Gorilla Glass. The orginal used it so I don't know why Samsung would change it. You really don't need a screen protector. Tablet screens are really strong and stratch resistant glass.

I have seen people post that it does have gorilla glass, but I have found no hard proof of this. Contrary to what people say though, gorilla glass can scratch since there are lots of things that are harder then it. I put on an XO screen protector for it last week and have no complaints with it what so ever. Its made with scratch resistant material that is supposed to "self heal" from scratches(dont want to test this myself though, lol) and feels smooth to the touch. I highly recommend it.

I ended up getting a screen protector because the glass really picked up fingerprints well. The protector keeps them to a minimum. Other than that everything I have heard says that it uses gorilla glass as well.

I have had my dell streak for almost a year with no screen protector on it and it doesn't have one scratches on it.

A Samsung rep confirmed that it does when I contacted them.
