Even if Moto released it today, Verizon would need to do their own testing which would take some time. IF we see a patch, it will be in several months.

Gosh, I'm shocked, a rumored release date for a patch comes and goes without any sign of a software release. Totally unprecedented. Never heard of such a thing before.

Huh?

Nobody is missing gingerbread, and you certainly don't have to load Apex to get it. The OP is referring to a random rumor that Moto might be issuing a bug fix patch to the gingerbread update.

Well, not exactly a "random rumor".

It WAS a member here that said they saw it on the Moto support forum for the X but that the post was pulled.

I wouldn't have bothered posting if it were just a "Hey look! Waffles!" kind of situation.

On a second thought...maybe this was intended to be released today at some point but they pulled it in order to add the unlockable bootloader option.

I know, I know....I'm being a little too optimistic, but I can dream....right?

About a week or two ago a Verizon tech said a patch would be available at the end of June. Of course, she was the 4th tech I spoke to about the same issue.
