it was filmed at my mall, the Puente Hills Mall. at some point i'm gonna take a picture from exactly where the dalorean took off from. it has changed a whole lot, but the general structure is still there.
Did you participate in the 30th anniversary gathering at the Burger King [in Burbank]? I remember seeing coverage on the local news that day. :)

no i had no idea that there was one. i was just at my mall and they had this exhibit up. i thought that it was totally cool that the mall obtain this memorabilia.

in my area, we have 2 claims to fame. one is in Back to the Future and the other is Back to School. all of the diving scenes and some of the college scenes were shot at what was once called Industry Hills Aquatic center. i was a swimmer there when i was very little and remember seeing rodney damgerfield in a speedo walking around

I didn't either, until I saw its coverage that night on the news.

Oh, gosh...Rodney Dangerfield in a Speedo. Now THAT's something you can't un-see! :o I sure did love his humor, though. Something about his self-deprecating, deadpan jokes just never failed to crack me up. :D

Over here in Arcadia, we literally have too many claims to fame to list. That's due in no small part to the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, or, as we call it, the Arboretum, which has been used as a filming location forever. Everything from Tarzan movies to Oscar-winning classics, like The African Queen, and TV shows including Fantasy Island, were filmed there.

The Arboretum is ≈1 mile from my house, and it's where the peafowl who roam my neighborhood originated over 100 years ago.

It's also very common to see filming in my neighborhood and around Arcadia, though I rarely bother to find out what movie or show it's for. *shrug*
