I will do my best to guide you step by step, follow steps 1-6 exactly as in this video to (1:29) How To Install Custom Recovery AND Root Samsung Transform - YouTube
Now you need follow these steps exactly.
Boot into recovery ( Hold the volume down, camera key, and power button in this order) that will get you into the last screen at the 1:29 mark.
Ignore the rest of the video, now
Use the volume key and go one down to " Apply zip from sd"
Hit menu button (lower left corner)
Now puma6.zip should be highlighted
Hit the menu key again.
Press the home key ( you will see an install dialog)
It will auto return and have the "reboot options" selected
Hit menu key
"Reboot to system" should now be highlighted
Hit menu again, and the phone should reboot if done correctly.
Let the phone boot up, the go to settings menu
After booted
Go down to about phone
Go down the build number, and now it should read, Pumav6
