Well I managed to figure out the issue. Once I was in fastboot I found my device listed as an Android device. For some reason the drivers werent installed so the PC could interact with it. I had to manually install Android Bootloader Interface drivers (see attached. I also pulled .dll files from system). After that, fastboot recognized my device and was able to perform fastboot oem unlock with success. After that I did fastboot boot recovery.img to boot into twrp, which is where it got messed up. Either I skipped a step or the supserSu zip I have isnt compatable. Installed supersu and performed a backup which failed. I then rebooted normally and would either get stuck on the lg splash screen stating bootloader unlocked or the tmobile screen. Had to flash stock kdz and OTA to 6.0.
Questions:
1. When i run fastboot oem unlock and it finishes, should I fastboot reboot to normal before booting twrp?
2. The zip file in this thread for superSu doesnt seem to be a good link or something as I downloaded it previosly and it stated the file was corrupt. Is there another link to that version? And when I do fastboot boot recovery.img should i install supersu in twrp?
I can confirm that LG Flash Tool 2014 works to flash kdz for this device as this is what I used and havent seen any issues yet thanks to a youtube video providing download.
