Root Guide to Porting CM7/CM10?

I have some experience with coding and editing files within a rom and all that fun stuff. I was looking up on the web how to port over cm7/cm10, etc and there doesn't seem to be a good guide out there.

I would like to help anyway I can, is there a good guide online for porting cm7/cm10? If not, how can I get started or help?

Its not that simple... if you really want to help... install either Ubuntu or Linux mint (I run mint 13) and start here http://source.android.com/source/initializing.html and here http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Development

Fyi... there are not any complete 100% porting guides because every device is different... working with source you gotta figure alot stuff out on your own
