Gyro vr drift

I recently purchased a Hafury note 10 with Android 9 pie. The phone works fine but there is a drift issue when using vr. I've tried the figure 8, bubble app, and leaving the phone on a flat surface all to no avail. I'm totally lost as this is the first gyro enabled phone I have owned. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Mark.

does this only happen in vr? could it be the headset you are using?

and there really is not much you can do if the gyro is off. you can try a factory reset and see if that helps. if not then you might have to take it back or get it replaced.

Definitely not headset as it happens out of headset. I've message the seller to see what they suggest.

Since it sounds like you've gone through software-based steps to reset the Gyro (or rather GPS), if this is instead a hardware failure problem since you recently got this phone it should still have repair/replacement warranty coverage, yes?

You referred to VR but are there also problems using any map apps? (i.e. Google Maps) Those also rely upon GPS and orientation sensors. Also, where is this 'drift' issue occurring? The Gyro sensor is more about physical orientation of the phone itself, GPS is more about location (drift). GPS relies upon satellite detection so in some places like a basement or below ground apartments/offices where there aren't even windows to the outside, that can be a problem.
If the problem is only with whatever VR app you're using, it may not be your phone but rather the app.

I've tested it on real racing 3 that requires a gyro and seems to work ok. When in vr it drifts left. When I place the phone to look down it rotates left. Also I've tried the app Places in VR and and it seems fine with that and not "Drift".
