Help Hacker App/Ghost or Freak thing??

I have a Galaxy S2 and every night I sleep with my phone beside my pillow, because I have to wake up before my boyfriend. Monday night I heard a beeping noise, turned my phone over and it was on camera mode. I dismissed it as odd, put it back to the main screen and went back to sleep. Tuesday night I again woke up to the sound of letters being touched in the Messaging mode. I turned my phone over to see that a jumbled text had been sent at 1:45AM to my boyfriend, the last person I texted.

So here are a few things that are totally weird. 1st I goto sleep around 9PM so how in the hell did my phone "wake up" or "unlock" at 1:45 in the morning considering you have to hit the side button and then swipe the screen?? Now I admit I toss and turn at night, but are you telling me I was tossing around enough for the up arrow to be hit and then the B. Speaking of buttons being touched, it wasn't me. Are you telling me that the phone hitting my sheets activated those buttons?? So after I got out of the message screen, the camera screen was on behind it WTF?? Then I got out of the camera screen to see that Gallery had it's own button on the wallpaper. Don't you have to hold that icon for awhile for it to paste to the wallpaper??

So I'm wondering is it possible that I downloaded an app that allows a hacker to take over my phone? If so is it as simple as removing all my apps or would I have to do a factory reset on my phone?

I have zero experience with this, but if it was happening to me, then yeah, I'd do a factory reset. I subscribe to the better safe than sorry theory on this one. Have you recently installed any apps? you can start there, but honestly, I'd just do the reset, and then only install the apps you are 100% sure about.
