Help Hairline crack on my screen :(

So as i was coming out my car today, i had forgotten that i left my phone on my lap. The phone fell about 1 foot from my lap to the curb of the street and chipped a little edge of the screen around the middle of the phone. This chip caused a hairline scratch to form across the middle of the phone and now the entire bottom half of the phone's touchscreen is completely unresponsive.

So I'm wondering, what are my options? =/

Hello and welcome to the forums . I am sorry to hear about your accident. Now you say half is unresponsive . Do you have insurance on this device .

Unfortunately no, i don't have insurance. It hasn't been a year since i bought the device from the play store so its still under warranty, but I'm assuming that won't help me out here.

Nahh if you are very handy with your hands you can feel free to repair the device at your own risk. All you need is a digitalizer and tools . And have patients .

I done exactly the same thing, but all of my screen shattered.

I was tempted to try replacing myself, but found that the price of the parts was almost the same as getting the carphone warehouse to fix it. If you're in the UK, then that would be my first port of call (but im guessing you're not in the UK)
