I've had my Avail (rooted with Anthony's one.three ROM running) for about a year and a half now. I can't say I love it, but I definitely like it a whole lot. It does everything I need it to, and not much that I don't. The only complaint is a little bit of lag sometimes, but it's not too bad. The battery life is decent. I've dropped it a few times. I have a silicone case, but I don't think it offers a whole lot of protection, honestly. It's a pretty decent phone for the price.
I have no clue what happened to cause it not to charge. It started the night before last. My friend came over and plugged his new phone into my charger, which is a cheap gas station car charger on an A/C adapter and it didn't work. I didn't think much of it, as he has a newer-model Android (I forget which one, I'm still pretty much a noob when it comes to smartphones) and said that several other peoples' chargers wouldn't work on his phone either.
That night, before I went to sleep, I plugged my phone up, as usually do. As soon as I did, the light on the car charger went out. I unplugged my phone and it came back on. I chalked it up to it being a cheap charger and his phone pulling more current than it could handle.
The next day, he brought me an old charger he had. It does nothing when I plug my phone into it, but it works on his. Today I tried a charger that we have at work and nothing. I don't have a USB cable to try out, but I plan to go to the AT&T store tomorrow and see if they can test it out for me.
Do I just need to get a new phone or what? I'd hate to, as I really like this thing and I don't have much money to get a new one, but if I have to I suppose it's not a huge deal, since all my downloaded apps and data are on my SD card.
tl;dr - my phone randomly won't charge and I have no idea why.
