HandCent and Boost Media

I have no experience with SMS/MMS so forgive my ignorance. I am using Handcent SMS 3.9.2 I assume I can also get MMS messages with this.

The SMS is working fine. The notifications and pop ups on the lock screen, etc.

but, I am not getting any multimedia. A friend sent me some pictures and I did not get any notification. I went to a Boost Media Mail website and there they were. What do I need to do to bypass this or also get them to go to the phone like a regular SMS message? Again, excuse my ignorance.

I remember a few weeks ago, I sent a picture out and this triggered Boost to send me a text about the Media Mail Center. I went ahead and set it up the best I could understand it.

Now when somebody sends me MMS it goes to this Media Center without any notification on the Prevail. Is the Media Center snatching them and preventing them from being sent to the phone? The media center looks like a thrown together system, but I guess it is better than nothing. But, I would prefer to have MMS go to my phone instead (or both is OK).

I am sorry if I posted this in the wrong place. I did not know if it was something that only affected the Prevail.

Yep. I think that is it. Thanks Shabby. I deleted it like a dummy. I tried to reinstall MMS.apk but it was not successful. Can someone post the correct file to reinstall so that I can get MMS working again? Thanks in advance.

Even better! I fixed it myself! I used Root Explorer to copy MMS.apk into the /system/app directory. I restarted the phone and MMS works again.

I found this on another forum. Luckily, I had backed it up. I just did not kow how to put it back.

Thanks Shabby for getting me to think.
