Help Handcent and stock mail

Hi I posted a while ago about handcent (great sms program) and my thoughts on it clashing with the mail scheduling peak/offpeak, after installing 2.2 on and using only STOCK apps all has been well.

But I installed latest handcent again 6 days ago and the stock mail app connecting to my exchange 2003 email server has stopped working for scheduled and peak times.

I have uninstalled 2 days ago and i still have to manually start and stop the manual/push every morning and night. the only way i can see this fixing is doing a factory reset (which i am sick of doing)

handcent have not commented about this and I am baffled as to why handcent would /could affect this process.

any of you intelligent people out there got any fixes or ideas, does uninstal actually uninstal? do i need a regisrty cleaner or something
I have 2 desires and they both do exactly the same.

Handcent is dodgy in my opinion. Often installing on its own does not resolve the issues it creates. Often factory reset is the only way IMO.

planning another factory reset tonight so will see!
I like handcent but just kills my phone

ive stopped using handcent now, it wasnt reliable and for longer texts it converted them to mms without my knowledge costing me cash, not good me bein a yorkshire lad n all

Which is easily sorted if you look in the settings

I've factory reset so will see what happens!

perfect, emails stopped coming after 22:00 and started at 08:00 and has stopped tongiht at 22:00 - works a treat now!

so I guess it's proof handcent is the issue here!
