Handcent and vibration

Hello all
I recently got a replacement phone from VZW because of trackball issues.
I installed Handcent and used it for several days with no issues. Last night, for some reason it stopped vibrating on my notifications for handcent. Vibration is working for everything else, including haptic feedback. For some reason it will not vibrate for text notifications though

Thanks,
Fish

Go into Hancent Settings- notofication settings.

There you can make sure vibrate is on... and also set the vinration pattern.

I had this problem for months. I swear I had nightmares about it. "sound on keypress" definitely did nothing to fix the issue of no vibration on incoming texts. It was not just handcent, it was any messaging app I tried.

I found in some other thread (after subscribing to half a dozen with no resolution) that an app called Sound Manager by Daniel Roozen would help. When you open the app it gives you refined control over all your sound settings, then press the menu button to get Vibrate Settings. This has two internal settings for vibrate options that you would think are controlled from the regular android sounds menu, but apparently these are buried deep in the system and can somehow get shut off permanently. With this app you can turn them back on. I have not had to re-run this app since fixing the settings about a month ago.

i had this issue this ^ worked for me.

thanks, the sound manager download took care of my problem...i'm still unsure how this setting managed to get turned off. I'm just happy its fixed now though
