handcent group messages

ive noticed handcent has added group messaging recently personaly i dont like it but cant figure out how to turn it off. i hate replying to one person and having 3 other people sending me question marks. is there a way to shut it off? cant figure it out.

If you go into Application Settings, scroll to the bottom where it says Thread Group Conversation and turn it off (O). This way when you get a group message and respond, you will only respond to the person that sent the text and not to the others that he/she send it to.

it is off. but still does it.
