Handcent Group SMS Plugin

Hi,

I am new to Handcent. I just installed "Handcent Group SMS Plugin 1, 2 & 3". I don't know all these are require to send Group SMS?

When I click on "Group SMS", it is showing me the following message:
Currently installed Group SMS Plugin:3, activated plugin:2, you may send max 300 SMS every hour.
Then only "Install Plugin" button is there.

What should I do to send Group SMS. Do I require to do any settings? Do I require another plugin to do this?

Please also let me know which Handcent plugin is the best for Group SMS.

You don't need ANY plugin to send Group SMS's with Handcent. Here is how you send group SMS.

1. Be on main Handcent screen.
2. Press Menu---->New Message
3. Press the '+' symbol that is on the right side of the 'To:' field
4. Check each person OR group that you would like to send the message to.
5. Press Menu----->End Select
6. Compose and Send your message.....you just sent a group SMS.

There are a few ways to do this...but that is one of them for Handcent.

Those Group SMS plugins you are talking about are for people who send LARGE amounts of text messages. They are NOT required to send group SMS's with Handcent. There is a cap limit to how many texts you can send per hour (I think Android did this). Each of those plugins will add 100 texts per hour to your limit. So if you install 3 of those plugins....you just added 300 texts per hour to your limit.

Thanks for this. There sure is a lot of conflicting information out there about how to do group texting in Handcent. I am new to my Samsung Galaxy Nexus and trying to do group texting with family members on iPhones. It kinda works; when they send me replies they trigger a message outside of the group then the message seems to show up a few minutes later inside the group. Is this the normal behavior or am I doing something wrong?

i would like to know to if that is normal too.
i dont like , the way you have to download the message to see the group chat.

Its an MMS message and in Handcent by default it doesn't download them automatically. Somewhere there was a setting for "Auto-retrieve" for MMS or multimedia messages. It still takes a minute for them to appear in the group conversation though.
