Handcent "laggy"?

I've seen this comment a few times, mostly made by people pushing another SMS app. To what are they referring? The UI? A delay in receiving texts?

I've been happy with Handcent and haven't noticed any instance where I thought it was slow.

Gotta say I haven't noticed ... I'll take a look at Go. The main thing for me is that I want texts to pop through the lock screen, and I think Go does that.

I tried it for the 1st time last night. I must have kept it around... 1h in which I CONSTANTLY messaged with a chick (true story) and fiddling around with the app in-between.

The "chat" went on, but I uninstalled it long before it was over.
Why? THE F* LAG WAS KILLING ME!
NOT ONLY DO I HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THE DAMN TINY TINY LITTLE KEYS (NO, IM NOT ENGLISH, NO, THERE'S NO "AUTO-CORRECT" and "WORD PREDDICTION" FOR MY LANGUAGE) BUT I ALSO HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THE DAMN LAG? F THAT!

yeah, sometimes I change personality.... get a bad temper soz ^_^
