Handcent LED Notification Issue

[scubab]

Good evening all.
I've lurked on other posts and even on Handcent's forums and cannot find the answer I need. All questions regarding this on Handcent's forums have gone unanswered so I figured I'd bring it over here
I have an HTC Desire with 2.1 preinstalled. I would like to be able to change my notification LED colors but unfortunately all LED notification options are greyed out, though 'Blink LED' is check marked though that is greyed as well.
I've rebooted, disabled in system settings (still blinks), made Handcent my default SMS app.
Any ideas out there?

I don't believe that device has a multi-colored LED. I think it is just orange and green.

I've seen multiple thread stating that, on the Desire, you could edit this function and there was cyan, amber, red and green.

Download "Blink - Flash LED in Your Way" from the market.

This issue seems to be common in handcent on android 2.2 for Xperia, Desire, Desire HD, and a few other phones according to what I've read. I didn't see a fix through handcent in any of those forums though.

Hopefully this app with let you bypass that.
