Help handcent multiple contacts

for whatever reason, on handcent sms, when i type in a contact to message, the same contact shows up multiple times. it looks like it's just facebook contacts that are getting duplicated.

i tried turning off the "show social network contacts" in the settings, but when i did that it didn't show any contacts after typing in a name.

anyone seen this?

I actually had to go into my contacts and link all the duplicate contacts.

but these are facebook contacts. like i'm seeing Andrew <lastname> 10 times...i don't have him 10 times in facebook. i don't even see his name in my contacts app b/c i don't bring them there...

this is a huge problem... this lead to my phone freezing and not being able to make phone calls. eventually, i had to hard reset my phone. i think it is a problem w/ facebook oversyncing the contacts...
