Handcent not showing contact pics

I know this has been mentioned before and I thought I saw a workaround, but I can't find it. Something about using a syne my picture app or something about turning off FB sync under accounts.... I am not really sure.

I have ICS and want to use Handcent as my text app, but it won't allow me to use my FB contact pics in the app. I would before on GB, but not ICS.

What is the easiest work around for it? I appreciate the help.
 
You can go into Facebook mobile settings and sync with contacts. In the event that does not work or fully work, an app called syncmypics should do the trick for you. Good luck.

When you say go into FB mobile, do you mean on the computer or from the browser on the phone. Go to FB.com instead of clicking the app?
 
Sorry..after I posted I thought maybe I should have clarified. I mean the Facebook for Android app. It should be on the phone already or need to be downloaded from the play store. But once you open it, press menu, settings, scroll to the bottom and sync contacts. It has worked for some and not for others. But like I said, if it doesn't work or all the way then syncmypics will work for you. I don't believe syncmypics will automatically update the pics. I think you'll have to tell it to sync at your leisure.
 
The best way that I have found is to assign your own photos for each contact that you will text. I'm a Handcent user and I tried the FB route, the VZ backup assistant and gmail. None actually sync yet. I only text about 20-25 of my contacts. So, I have a folder in my pics for those pictures and assign them. Problem solved.
