Handcent ringtone problems

I use hand cent as my sms app of choice. Recently however when I receive a message from my wife it is a different ring tone. I've changed it to multiple ring tones and it works fine for every other contact but not her.

I cleared data but then I can not get my contact picture to appear again in any text conversions.

I looked at her contact entry and there is no custom ring tone.

Using a nexus 4 with cm10.1.

Just to be clear, we are talking about custom message tones, right? IIRC, you set the custom tone for messages within Handcent. The custom tone in contacts only effects voice calls.

Can you assign that tone you use for your wife to any other SMS recipient? Just want to verify that there is nothing wrong with the media file and that Handcent can find it.

I use one sound for notifications and then within handcent I use another sound for all SMS/mms, but for some reason my wife's SMS come in with a third sound and it is only her SMS that do. All my other contacts use the handcent default.

I can not find which sound file it is using for her (I don't try and assign something different to her).

Did you shut off the sound in the default messaging app. Could be coming from there.

Yes default app has notifications disabled and frozen in titanium.

I ended up digging and finding an old titanium backup from a month or two ago and restored data and it is working again.
