Handcent SMS seems to have trouble with a few of my contacts. For some of my friends, their contact is set correctly with a phone number (ex: 555-555-5555), however, when they text me, my phone shows their number as 555?555?5555. The message thread is never set under their name, but instead is set under this number separated by ?'s instead of -'s. Also, I can not reply to messages sent from this number.
I tried changing the contact's # to the # with ? between each set of numbers, but that is an invalid number.
Any ideas on how to get HandcentSMS to recognize this person's phone number? Default and even Chomp are able to recognize it.
