Handcent SMS

Hi everyone! I was having troubles with the stock app that came with my doid 2 for text messaging. I was told to get Handcent SMS so I did. The only problem is I can't see how to set it to the default text messaging or get rid of the stock app! Someone PLEASE help me! Thanks!

Go into the stock text app and turn off notifications. You can't delete the stock app, but you can stop it from giving you double notifications.

Hi there..I have a similar situation.. How can I open the Handcent SMS without prompting a window that let's me choose from the stock messaging and Handcent.. I already checked the "open by default" check box..
