Help Handcent Talk issues

Ive updated the new release of Handcent and with it came Handcent Talk....comparable to iMessage from iPhone.
I already have a Handcent account but none of my contacts can be located and severalof them have the same app. It's also supposed to be compatible with the iMessage from iPhone too.
Has anyone been able to use this new feature?? Why can't I add my contacts? I use the "+" sign on the top right but i get an error saying something about rechecking my input.....any help??

I'm having this same issue. At first I would try to use the "setup wizard" to start using the Talk feature at all and it would say to try again later because it wasn't available or something like that, then I went to login again just to make sure I was logged in and it wouldn't let me. Eventually a couple days later it let me. Now I'm just having the same problem as TC
