Handcent won't reply to group message

I've searched but haven't seen exactly this probem discussed regarding Handcent SMS. I have a Galaxy S2.

"Thread Group Conversations" is checked, but often, I can't reply to a group message from an iPhone user. I will get the "moving circle" as if it's trying to send, but the message doesn't go. Sometimes, when I hit send, it just disappears and goes back to the home screen. In those cases, the message was not sent. This doesn't always happen. I'm thinking it happens more often when replying to a group message that includes a photo, but once again, not always. I would say this happens about 75% of the time.

I have the same problem whenever an iPhone user sends a group message and I am included. I just receive a little bubble within my Handcent text bubble. From my limited research into the issue this is a problem caused by the way iPhone handles group messaging - it assumes all recipients are iPhone users and have some app it uses for group messaging (or some similar problem).

I tried finding a solution one time but had no luck. Please do post if you find a way around this. Thanks.
 
Today, I couldn't even send a photo reply to a single (not group) iPhone conversation. I tried it twice with no luck. I opened the Android stock app and successfully sent the photo. It resized the photo. Maybe that was the problem with Handcent, although it's worked in the past. I don't use the stock app for iPhone group conversations since it doesn't seem to work at all. I've also tried Go SMS, but I'm more successful with Handcent.
 
Oddly enough, I've had a similar, yet different problem. I cannot OPEN pictures from Iphone users.

My wife sent me a picture from her Iphone to my Android phone. I tried opening it (several times) using Handcent, and it wouldn't download. But when I went into the stock messaging app, it downloaded first try.

Seems to be a bug out there...
