Hands on in store?

Has anybody seen the phone at a Best Buy, Radio Shack, or Sprint on display? Usually around my area the only place that is a "live" phone is at Sprint store rest are dummy phones. Im jw if the 3d's are out yet on display or if its gonna be a week or so, and I guess it just kinda depends where ya live to.

Not really sure what to say about this, last year I remember bestbuy had some dummy phones a week or two before release but no actual demos at all. I don't recall sprint having any dummy phones but there weren't any actual demo models out on the floor until after it was released.

Edit: Of course I am talking about the evo 4g.

For a big phone release like this, usually one of the main mobile media outlets will put a breaking story up about it. I expect in the coming weeks we will see the story unfold. The hands on demo is going to make or break the sale for me, so I'm eager to find out where to test it out at before purchase as well.

Sometimes best buy or radio shack will put a mock up out early but I find those worthless; the local sprint store for all previous releases refuse to put the phones out early but every now and then if I stop in a day or two early the manager will have one that they will show me.

Once in a blue moon the local best buy will have an htc represenative with a live phone but historically it has been after release

I would love a hands-on demo, especially since i am basically buying the damn thing blind. I have never laid eyes on it or played with it. Thank god for the 30 day return policy.

VZW should be taking notes with that if they aren't already.
