Step 1: Enable the feature

• Turn the feature on or off in your search settings. Touch Settings at the bottom of the Google homepage or a search results page, or visit google.com/preferences.
• Go to the Handwrite section, select Enable to turn on the feature, and then touch Save.

Note: You might need to refresh the homepage to see the feature.

Tried it out this afternoon. I found it very slow & just decided that good old typing it in the search bar is the still the way to go.

I believe it's customary to leave a "moved" link for a day.

It's also customary (and polite and proper etiquette) to post in the section that you know it belongs in to begin with.

And, as you know, the length of the redirect is not mandatory. Since you already knew where this belonged, leaving a short (or no) redirect isn't much of a surprise.

Yeah and with suggested search options, just typing in a few letters usually yields your desired search.
