Handwriting recognition with Note 2 S pen is really slow since upgrade to new OS. Any tips?

I'm a big user of the S pen on my Galaxy Note 2. It seems to recognise my handwriting well and I have been able to tweet from conferences, write emails etc as fast as I could have written them by hand on a piece of paper. This morning I accepted the OS upgrade. Now the recognition software seems more accurate but it is much slower. I have to keep waiting for it otherwise it misses two words out of three. Has anybody else had this problem and is there something in the settings I can change to speed up its response or alternatively to remove the new OS?

Sometimes upgrades have unintended consequences. I'm going to move your question to the Note 2 forum to see if other device owners can offer ideas.:)

I'm still on OS 4.1.2 so the following may not apply to your update but for what its worth, you may care to try :-

Select 'Menu key / Settings / Language and input /'

I'm using the Samsung keyboard and it is shown greyed out. However its 'Settings' cog wheel is bright and active. Touching that gives an option for 'Handwriting' and with that selected, there are many setup options - including one for 'Recognition time'. I'd like to hear how you get on.

By the way, what version of the OS did you update to and from?
