Well one year in and still going strong. Although a larger screen would be desirable, a larger phone would not be. 4g lte is the most notable upgrade over my previous edition, the og incredible. Thanks HTC for a very dependable piece of technology that I still haven't achieved complete and total control of. I don't know if I need anything more.
 
They're stringing aerial fiber on the power poles. They have the support cable strung but still have a half mile of innerduct (flexible conduit) to hang.
 
Upgrading. All the 4G equipment has been installed and is waiting for the fiber. I don't know who the LEC is but I guess they couldn't get a decent price from the local cable or Century Link. It's part of the AT&T build out and Verizon is piggy backing.
 
Are the antenna up? See I work for a company and what we do is the AT&T upgrades on these towers, so I'm wondering here..... Why the 4G equipment is up but no fiber optic cables :confused:
 
Not sure about AT&T. I met the Verizon tech. They're on the same tower. The fiber is slowly, oh so slowly working its way toward the tower. Who do you work for? I know someone here in Sisters, OR who is a construction manager for a similar company.
 
I'm on the east coast, I work for a cellular contract company on these towers. I'm a tower climber I just do the aerial work at the sites.
 
We climb and work in excess of 200-300 feet hanging from the tower, I've never seen anyone use a lift to work on one, interesting.
 
Thanks for the reminder, I forgot to check. Solid 5 bars. It was 3-4 before.

One of the contractors trenched into an 18 inch irrigation water line running 50 psi. The shutoff is several miles away. That must have been fun.
 
Usually the fiber will be in place and all ready so after we come in and do our thing the engineers just come back after us and more or less light up the antennas
 
It's kinda odd. Verizon and AT&T are on the same tower but they are running separate fiber. I like redundant redundancy. Verizon is lit but it seems slow on connections.
 
This phone sucks...worse piece of crap i have owned as soon as the Nexus 5 comes out and if Verizon doesn't support it which it looks like they won't (go figure) i probably will leave verizon and go with someone who does.

Have had mine over a year. No issues... The only thing I don't like about it, but it seems to be the same now a days with every android phone besides the Nexus... They never get an updated OS anymore. I still will not go to a phone with a bigger screen then this...
 
Why do people whine about updates and Verizon? Yeah switch to lesser cell company suffer from poor coverage and data speeds because your inc4g didn't get updated but vzw had some great phones
 
My Incredible 2 didn't get updated either. The Eris took forever. Three hTC phones in a row. This is the first phone I haven't rooted. It's pretty tight.

What's your definition of "great"? average is more like it.
 
Same phones as the other carriers minus nexus 4 but with a few extra phones. Better coverage with better technology behind the scenes. More towers more coverage better speeds to switch because you cry about updates would be dumb to say the least
