Help Haptick feedback rattle

tpXXV

Newbie
I'm sure many of you are familiar with this concept... when I type on the keyboard the buttons seem to vibrate so much that there is a rattle, almost metallic in nature. Both feels and sounds really annoying.

I know I could take it back, but this is also my 2nd Maxx and another issue can always spring up (my first Maxx's power button was very shallow, making it difficult to push...that was a bigger issue).

So my question is is there any way to fix this?

If not, is there a chance Jelly Bean eventually change the haptic feedback in general, thus getting rid of this rattle?

Thanks in advance

Well haptic feedback can be disabled, about the only thing I can think of. I remember CM9 had the option to change the haptic feedback strength and length on my DX but that's not possible yet on our phones. If you wish to turn off feedback, it should be under the directory below.

Settings>Language&Input>Android Keyboard (or whichever keyboard you use, hit the gear icon)

If it's not there then sorry. I can't confirm it because I already have JB installed on my phone but I can't imagine it being too different. It's called Vibrate on keypress on my build. Uncheck that.

Right, the thing is I like haptic feedback. Just not an excessive amount.

It seems there is nothing to do, I removed and put the sim tray back in too.

I used to have a GNex and noticed a subtle change in the feedback when I upgraded to JB...hopefully that happens with my Maxx.

Thanks for response.
