Help Hardware Installation Problem

JColch

Lurker
I'm having this problem. When I plug my SG Note 2 via USB, it starts to install drivers. It actually installs several drivers, but then it gives me this message:

'A problem occurred during hardware installation. Your new hardware might not work properly'

Things I've tried:
1) Plug it to my friend's computer (it worked, no problems)
2) Plug it to all USB ports I have.
3) Plug with 'USB Debugging' ticked on and off. None of it helps.
4) Contacting live chat support. They couldn't solve it either.
and whatnot basically...

Some info:
I am in China right now (but I'm not Chinese), so I bought this phone which is original Korean version, which means all details are Korean and it was assembled in Korea. On back of my phone I see logo: "4G LTE". It's grey color and it works just perfectly, except this little problem :(

Help please?

P.S. I would post a picture of that error, but since I'm new on this forums it does not allow me to.

I had USB drivers installed, from the Samsung site for my original Note... had to uninstall, and install the Note 2 drivers for it to work. Afterwards, my Note 1 was still recognized by the Kies software.

Every link I try is dead

Samsung USA site Only lists the PDF Owners Manual under "Drivers and Manuals for all versions.

AT&T (only Owners Manual - no USB Driver)

US Cellular (only Owners Manual - no USB Driver)
Support - US Cellular SCH-R950 | Samsung Cell Phones

Verizon (nothing available)
Support - Verizon Wireless Cell Phones SCH-I605 | Samsung Cell Phones

T-Mobile (only Owners Manual - 2 PDF versions)
Support - T-Mobile Cell Phones SGH-T889 | Samsung Cell Phones

Sprint (only Owners Manual - no USB Driver)

But as I said I'm in China and I use none of those in list (ATT, Verizon, etc..)

What should I do?

Get a Chinese USB driver for the Galaxy S3, but use it with the Note2

Samsung has no USB drivers for OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion, so you are out of luck.
