Help Hardware problem?

I am on my second Droid Razr. Back in December I had to go to Verizon to get a refurb because my razr would stop vibrating randomly when I would type and sometimes wouldn't vibrate on incoming text messages and my alarm clock. The new phone was working fine for a couple months, but the vibrating randomly stops when I type sometimes. Also whenever I turn off my phone and turn it back on, it is always on landscape and asks about my HDMI connection. When I go to settings -> display and see HDMI connection, it is unchecked. Has anyone else had this problem with their Razr?

sounds more like a Dock Mode issue than an HDMI issue. both that and car mode, afaik (i've never actually used them), set it to non-vibrate mode and utilize the HDMI port. try clearing the data on Dock and Car modes, and see if that helps.
